CadTracker is a client–server application. The server uses a Microsoft SQL Server™ Express Edition database and the client is the application which communicates with the server’s database. Typically, an organisation will install one instance of SQL Server™, with one database. However, it is possible to create multiple databases for different projects. Each team member who wishes to use CadTracker must install the client application on his or her workstation. For a sole operator, the database and client application may be installed on the same PC.

Software AutoCAD®
CadTracker is compatible with AutoCAD® 2018-2021, but AutoCAD® is not required to run CadTracker.

Microsoft Office®
Microsoft Office® 2013, 2016 or 2019 is recommended, but not required. If available, CadTracker uses Microsoft Word® to convert documents to PDF, and Microsoft Office® preview handlers to display Word® documents, Excel® spreadsheets and PowerPoint® presentations.
